Touch-Screen Teach Pendant
Through the design of the teach pendant with a touch screen, graphical interface and minimized number of physical buttons, the operating experience of RM-1450C can be similar to mobile phone/computer, which can effectively reduce learning difficulty and time for new operaters. 8-inch LCD screen can simultaneously display compilation instructions and the status of the robotic arm, assisting operaters in judging and operating. Operator can control various welding parameter through teach pendant, such as welding current, welding voltage, protect gas, torch swing, etc. In one combined command set, multiple sets of welding parameters can be applied. To avoid potential injury and damage caused by accidentally touching the teach pendant, teach pendant is equipped with a safety button, robot can only be operated in teach mode when this button is held. Both teach pendant and control box are equipped with an emergency stop button. When an emergency happens, operator can press emergency button nearby to stop all robot movements and prevent further damage.

Tactile Offset Correction
To put it simply, offset correction function is "pointing, locating, calculating, correcting". After robot finds out the workpiece offset through a special mechanism, it will perform displacement correction on the coordinates of the specific command to achieve "offset correction". Offset correction function can solve the shortcoming of robot's extremely low dimensional error tolerance for the same shape of workpieces (such as the position deviation when the workpiece is fixed by spot welding, the position deviation when the workpiece is positioned on the mold, etc.), so that it can be applied to various mass production environments. "Tactile offset correction", as the name implies, uses "touch" as the medium to perform the "positioning" step, which is a unique positioning method for welding robot. The positioning of the workpiece is done through the moment the welding wire protruding from the welding torch touching the workpiece. Compared with "laser offset correction function (non-contact)", tactile offset correction can achieve similar functions at lower cost. Under the trade-off of affecting a little welding efficiency (about 20~30 seconds/each positioning) and after-corrected error (about 0.2mm/each direction), the cost of the welding robot is reduced.
RM-1450C has a built-in tactile offset correction function, it has several detection/correction logics. Operator can choose according to the workpiece situation: 1D mode: "Line" translation correction (single vector) 2D mode: "Plane" translation correction (two non-parallel vector) 2D+ mode: "Plane" offset correction (two non-parallel vector, translation + rotation) 3D mode: "Space" translation correction (three non-parallel vector) 3Dcir mode: "Plane" translation correction (for round-shape only)

External Servo System Control
RM-1450C can control up to 6 external axes, which can be combined into "single/dual axis positioner" and "single/dual/three axis translation track" for logic control. The external servo system adopts Delta servo system, which has excellent precision and high reliability. Through the combination of "two-axis positioner" and "three-axis translation track", the RM-1450C and these external modules can be combined into a customized welding station. Furthermore, it can also equip a secondary user interface system to simplify the operation. With the secondary user interface and the pre-written robot command sets, operator can operate more easily without having to deal with the relatively complicated interface of the robot.
